CBx, a new app from Coldwell Banker, uses technology to empower Coldwell Banker agents
Real estate agents continue to play a vital role in real estate. The number of buyers using an agents remains near a 10-year high with 87% of sellers using agents to sell their home, according to the National Association of REALTORS® 2014 survey. As NewsCorp Executive chairman Rupert Murdoch said recently at the 2014 Real Estate Connect, “there’s no digital substitute for the human touch.”
So how can franchisors empower their agents with technology to make them even more valuable to consumers? This week Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC, the original San Francisco Bay area real estate start-up founded in 1906, announced an exciting new iPad application that directly addresses this need.
The new iPad application, CBx, pulls a variety of market data from public and private sources. Powered with the insights from this big data, Coldwell Banker sales associates can utilize the application to not only help sellers price their home, but identify potential buyers and intelligently craft a strategy to target them.
“The home buyer profiles and market data take our listing presentations to the next level by showing sellers something they haven’t seen from other sales associates,” said Terri King, president and chief executive officer of Colder Banker King in North Carolina in a recent statement.
CBx is interactive and easy for agents to use with custom features, heat maps, and a tool that allows agents to modify a search based on neighborhood details and amenities. Through this application, Coldwell Banker agents can educate a home seller on important things like where current home buyers are moving, the type of buyer most likely to come into the neighborhood, the estimated value of their home, and the demographic makeup of who is most likely to purchase their home.
We have seen an escalation in technology in the real estate industry over the last six months. This tool moves technology beyond the website and uses it to power agents to create a better experience for the customer.
This is another step in how technology is reshaping the way people buy their next home. If you’re interested in learning more about data-driven technology, please contact us and someone from our product team will contact you within 24 hours.
